Deadline Extended to July 18th

5/18/26

Hi hi! Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who has submitted so far to the first volume of Prefer Not to Say! Now that finals are wrapping up, I have more time to give feedback to those who requested it and start formatting those submissions.

However, I do not yet have enough submissions to fill a volume, so I am extending the deadline to the middle of the summer in the hopes that it will allow those of us who were slammed by finals to have a little more time to write or draw something for the mag. A lot of the ways you can contribute won't take a lot of time! Most of the columns are asking for 100 word responses or less, and a full article for the mag should be only a page or so. So if there is anything gender expansive on you mind, no matter how small, consider jotting it down and sending it to prefernottosaymag@gmail.com or submit it to the google form linked in the "Submit!" button above. If you are looking for ideas, there is a list of ideas in the blog post below.

Thank you all so much for following this passion project and I look forward to reading what you write!

Not sure what to write about? Here's some ideas!

Hiya hey! I thought it might be helpful to share a list of topics to help inspire writing for the mag. (but of course if what you want to write about isnt listed here, please send it in anyways!) I think a lot of these topics could be written about to go in Opinions, but if you want to write something more informational, or longer form, feel free to submit it under "Something Else" on the form. Just keep in mind that this is a small magazine (planned to be 14 pages, with each page being roughly 8.5"x11"

Additionally, for those of you submitting images, I thought it could be helpful to provide a swatch grid of the two colors I'm printing in in varying opacities.
